Samenvatting:

Midge, a young Grell, misses out on his dream of sailing on the royal flagship and ends up working on a cargo vessel with a tight-lipped crew on a mysterious mission to the icy wastes of Krønagar.

War between the Grells and the Minax, their long-time rivals, looms and the night skies are seething with ill omens.

How bad could it be? Of course, nobody knew much about Krønagar. Map-makers just filled up all the white spaces with fancy drawings of scary creatures and twiddly compasses.

You'd need to pack your thermals, of course, and it was somewhere 'up north'. But so what?

Midge hadn't even begun to imagine what lay in store–and is soon up to ears in foul weather, cranky monsters, sneaky traps, fiendish weapons, dangerously rotten vegetables and a traitor in their midst.

Finally, he and his crew mates finally have to face the ferocious allies of the evil Empress Koya herself …

Midge realises he must risk all in a desperate battle of mythical proportions (it's that's big) to ensure the future of his beloved Hundland.
