Samenvatting:

Reminiscent of medieval tapestry themes, this wonderfully inventive crochet pattern has angels, a griffon, a hart and a deer, a warrior, a queen and a dancer, and more. Originally designed as a tablecloth by Emma Boardman in 1922, you can crochet these blocks for other uses such as pillow tops and panels. Includes patterns for 13 filet crochet squares of various sizes, 2 triangles and one scalloped edging. This pattern includes instructions for the small needle-woven lace blocks and the border in netting, but they have not been edited. Embroidery patterns are not included.
This is not your usual scanned vintage crochet pattern. To make this pattern great for today’s crocheter I wrote complete instructions, expanded the written instructions so you won't need to skip around, and made an easy to follow chart. I also changed the written instructions to use modern US crochet terms.
The only stitches you need to know to complete this lace are: chain stitch, single crochet, double crochet, treble crochet, and slip stitch.
