Samenvatting:

William Horner is a serious man working for a few United Nation members as a private detective. He goes to the lands of dispute to investigate what abscess is causing the disturbance. He then sets out to resolve the problem. UN member governments don’t always welcome him, as internal politics connive to attain maximum benefit from the disruptions. Enemies with personal gain agendas, manipulate the health and safety of vast populations. Horner has recently enlisted Dr. Arthur Bradbury. He is a graduate student of psychology, showing interest in a case the UN is presently exploring. Twists and turns open a probability of effect, touching many nations. They are confronted by the modern world of stealth and invisibility. Murders happen and large gatherings of people are experimented on. This provides a glimpse of what may be in store for humanity. Both men feel inadequate to the challenge, which is far outside their world of experience. In Toronto, Canada they solicit Dr. Rose Chrysler, a leading author on Speculations of Light Properties and Invisibilities Methods and Practices, to assist them. Each country they follow their leads to, offer assistance, but lay claim to any discoveries they make. Trust in helpful nations, prove to be an asset they can’t afford.
