Take a Deep Breath is a romantic thriller that follows a woman 5 years after escaping sexual trafficking. Jay was healing in the Montana wilderness until a bear attack forced her into the local sheriff's office - where to her horror, she discovered someone from her past was looking for her. Someone who'd take her back to Seattle and force her into the worst kind of slavery. But she wasn't going to let that happen - because she knew that there were worse things in life than death.

Along the way she'll have to relearn how to trust and discover that real love, in its many forms, can and does exist. With the help of a mysterious blue jay that seems to be more than just a bird, Jay faces her fears of being trapped in the world of trafficking again and fights against those who would seek to do evil to the innocent.
