Practical Metal Plate Work contains, in a form convenient for everyday use, a comprehensive digest of matter contributed by experienced craftsmen, and supplies concise information on the general principles and practice of the arts on which it treats. The greater portion of the matter relating to geometry as applied to patterns for articles formed of sheet metal was written by Mr. W. H. Bennett, Instructor in Metal Plate Work at the Regent Street Polytechnic, and he has also kindly revised the whole of the proofs of the present volume. A portion of the matter is quite new, having been written especially for this volume.
