My love affair with Nerja and this part of Andalucia stemmed from my business - selling and renting properties there. The more I visited the area the more I came to love it. I have tried to convey here the feelings that I got when I first visited this area. The feelings of freedom, of a strong nation with a sense of history and pride. Maybe also a feeling of nostalgia for a Britain long gone The delights of being able to drive your car along a coastal road, and to be able to pull over beside a beach when you want to. To get delicious free tapas with every drink and to look forward to what's next. I have done my best to describe the Spanish customs and food and drink. In fact food and drink play a very large role in my life, especially when I am in Spain. After all, we cannot live without either can we? I love Spanish people and their way of life, and have found during my travels in this area that one of the best ways to meet the people and get to know them is to eat and drink with them.
