Samenvatting:

Plato was a Greek philosopher, student, friend of Socrates. The work combined the Plato’s political, writer and ethics talents became the monumental opus – “The Republic”. As many Plato’s works, “The Republic” devoted to Socrates and represents the dialogue exploring two central questions. The first question is “what is justice?”. Socrates addresses this question both in terms of political communities and in terms of the individual person. He does this to address the second and main question of the dialogue: “is the just person happier than the unjust person?” or “what is the relation of justice to happiness?” "The republic" is the great example of utopian creation, so it will be certainly fascinating for everyone, who interested on the ancient social and political history.
