The breathtaking mixture of congeniality and villainy, of prodigy and imbecility, of gallantry and timidity remains man’s mystery and misery. The more deeply he considers these sixty-four-thousand-dollar questions, the more he is enmeshed in the riddle called man. The more pains he takes, in order to clear up the subject, the more he is bewildered in futility, and uncertain surmises.

What all the acumen of man was unable to do, was in due time done by the wisdom of God. When it pleased God to give an account of the derivation of things, and of man precisely, all the darkness vanished away, there was illumination. “God said, Let us make man in our own image.” It was consummated! In the image of God, man was made. Hence, we are enabled to give a clear, satisfactory account of the immensity, and the dignity of man, the king! No wonder 2 Corinthians 4:7 says: “We have this treasure in earthen vessels.”

You were impregnated with greatness and inseminated with unmatched grandeur before your arrival on earth. It is onus on you to search and live it out.

The honor and glory of the king is to search out the

secrets of God about his life: the who, the why and the how of it .
