Samenvatting:

Tony Pinasa wants to become the first amateur to win the Masters. He faces an uphill battle. Many great golfers have never won a green jacket, and only a handful of amateurs have ever even made the cut, much less competed on the weekend. Tony has other problems, too, including a fierce temper and a reputation for fighting. But he does have two things going for him: a caddie who knows Augusta National like the back of her hand, and a Sherpa heritage from his father. Narrated by Tony's caddie, Ang Tak takes readers inside the gates and inside the ropes at the Masters, revealing the stresses and strains between player and caddie, player and player and, outside the round, between player and family. Ultimately, Ang Tak is a story about character: how it is nurtured, encouraged and strengthened, what it enables an individual or a nation to do in the face of adversity.
