When his mother takes another man to replace his long passed father, Joe Sanderson becomes quite an unruly young gentleman. The new suitor taking none of our protagonist's nonsense ships Joe off to Lady Flayskin's boarding school, beneath which walls there is a very singular philosophy; by the application of tight corset, stays, and long kid gloves, young gent and lady alike will learn utmost discipline.

To reinforce such teachings, every indiscretion, from the slip of a stocking to the wrinkle of a glove, is punished by way of birch and whip. Will Joe resist or will the thrill of his transformation and publicly humiliating chastisements open his eyes to a pleasure and release far more profound.

Pseudonymously written in 1909, this rare tale of petticoat discipline, much in the same vane as Miss High-Heels (also available from Locus Elm Press) is a fine example of the Edwardian predisposition to all things flagellatory, and conveys an unorthodox eroticism which continues to titillate.
