We all approach trauma differently. This becomes especially clear during a terminal medical crisis when fears and emotions are heightened. Preparing to Part is about how a couple can live and evolve during times of medical crisis, ending their days together in love. The goals are to leave the surviving partner with the ability to carry on without guilt ,while assisting the dying spouse in saying a positive goodbye. Both goals are equally precious. Practical and thoughtful ideas to assist the surviving spouse to maneuver and rebuild after a heartbreaking loss are discussed. Preparing to part gives the entire family a better chance to navigate their potentially rocky future by providing ways to manage grief and forge a new path.
