Spinal vascular malformations constitute rare pathological entities characterized by considerable angioarchitectural variation. Insufficient understanding of normal spinal vascular anatomy and abnormal vascular anatomy constituting these lesions restricts the development of surgical treatments specifically tailored to type of malformation.
