This book constitutes the proceedings of the 8th International Symposium on Model-Based Safety and Assessment, IMBSA 2022, held in Munich, Germany, in September 2022. The 15 revised full papers and 3 short papers presented were carefully reviewed and selected from 27 initial submissions. The papers focus on model-based and automated ways of assessing safety and other attributes of dependability of complex systems.
