Samenvatting:

A Renewed Life:Dan, for the first time in years, has the opportunity to live life again. A new lease on life through sailing: mental, physical, and much needed spiritual healing. Mentally he was exhausted; physically he was a wreck, the stress had nearly killed him; and spiritually he needed rest away from the endless demands of work. Intriguing Secrets:For more years than Dan can remember his life has been one very long secret. He paid a high price for that life: loss of family. Yes, he paid dearly for the life he had chosen. Because, there are some secrets you tell to a select few. There are some, however, you never tell anyone ... ever! An Everlasting Promise:Beth has one chance to recover from a huge mistake, she has one opportunity to make it right again. Her life, going forward, is dependent upon one very serious event occurring and the odds of it are very long indeed. Dan, while sailing, must find Mystic Bay ... her home, no matter how remote that possibility We all look for answers to the questions in our lives. From the things we know and the things we think we know. However, what do you do when there are no answers, go crazy? What if you spend your entire life looking for something and never find it? At what point do you quit? Most do, some never do. And then there are the occasions when, rare as they may be, you have searched, your daughter has searched, and now your granddaughter is searching for the answer you sought and could not find. Our lives at times, individual and corporate, can get caught up in searches that have a blessed ending, while others become obsessive. It is the obsessive ones that hurt the most, because they are the parts of our lives that mean the most to us. This is quite simply, one of those; a story that has a great ending and one that will rip your heart out. If you searched and found no answers, would you quit? What would you do, keep looking or stop? Life can drive us in many directions; some good and some destructive. What determines our responses to life's questions: resources or determination? What if the genesis of your search was a promise; a promise that was eternal? What value do we today place on our promises: are they valuable or time-limited. Our promises, our words, what weight to them: limited or life-altering? Are we prepared today to give meaning to our words or let them die with us? What if our words compel us to keep looking when the search is futile? Quite or go on? And, when we do find answers, what will the answers do to us-kill us or move us to higher ground?
