It is written by Beth Merizon, the daughter of the two emigrants from the Netherlands who made their home in America around the turn of the century. This work depicts everyday life in a remote area of the world where life revolved around the waterways surrounding the five islands of Zeeland. It is published posthumously, as the author passed away in 2003.
