Four components of suburbanisation namely land use patterns, land values, cost of housing and road infrastructure and their influence on the real estate market have been analysed. The objective of the study is to investigate the influence of suburbanisation of satellite towns on the real estate market. The study looks into the concept of suburbanisation and it is guided by the ecological approach and the sociologists' theory of suburbanisation. Descriptive survey research methodology was used. The data was analysed in descriptive perspectives and a summary of findings given. The target population was the landed professions as well as planners in various fields. Governments and other authorities will find the study of much value particularly on the 'landed' sector.
