While the effects of stigma on individuals with lived experience are widely acknowledged, this investigation sheds light on the specific types of stigma experienced by parents and caregivers and their correlation with symptoms of depression and attitudes towards seeking help.The study reveals compelling results, indicating that higher levels of public stigma, self-stigma, and vicarious stigma are linked to elevated levels of depression among parents and caregivers. Furthermore, these distinct forms of stigma exhibit varying associations with attitudes towards help-seeking, underscoring the nuanced nature of the relationship between stigma and mental health support.
