Alzheimers disease is one of the neurodegenerative diseases. It starts slowly and continuously worsens. The primary symptom of Alzheimers disease is difficulty in remembering recent events. Other symptoms are disorientation, problems with language, loss of motivation, self-neglect, mood swings and behavioral issues. Gradually, the body functions are also lost which eventually leads to death. The speed of progression of the disease varies and the life expectancy after diagnosis is three to nine years.
