Have you ever said something in anger to someone that seemed completely true at that moment but later seemed like an exaggeration?I have, and after talking with many people, I have found that's a pretty common experience. Unfortunately, I have also discovered that many of us carry forward those exaggerated emotions into future encounters with that same person. We find difficulty using our knowledge about the exaggerated emotions and may view that relationship negatively during future encounters.The big idea in this book revolves around the discovery of how you store (remember) relational-status information and set the emotional boundaries and attitudes around relationships. I will also explain how to weight that process in your favor. But first we need to look at the House Model and the principles that support it.
