The author hopes thatthe handbook might make the surreal nature of taking careof those who took care of us a bit less daunting. She wantsto tell adult children, like her son, some things they may notknow because they are not yet old. Ms. Manzi wishes thatshe knew at the onset of her caretaking what she learned,in retrospect, and shares here.
