Samenvatting:

This book shows how the early experiences of a young woman brought her to stumble, unprepared, into the network of expectations that underlie relationships and marriage. Marrying, based on the normal trends of her society, but, in her case, without instruction, training, or even discussions about marriage, what began for her as a hopeful relationship, soon became a minefield of disappointments and disagreements. The story goes with this couple through their periods of intense emotions from shattered expectations between them. However, marriage and divorce became a journey of discovery for the main character, She realized – in a state of detachment from the pains of her own hurt - that in the contested divorce (and in some cases, the uncontested divorce), anger and bitterness are frequent states of being between people who were once lovers and who, in some cases might be dying to be in love again. Aware of the usual inflexibility of these emotional walls, the main character realized an often overlooked terrain in the journey of the relationship and marriage.
