Samenvatting:

E3value is a notation to represent business models of value networks. It has been used to make business models in the music industry, electricity grid, mobility provision, e-commerce, and telecommunications. Characteristic in these and other applications is that a business value propoposition is offered not just by a single company, but by a network of companies who each must generate positive revenue from participating in the network. With e3value, business developers, entrepeneurs and consulktants can design the network collaboratively, and each participant can assess its revenue-generating potential.

Software tools to edit and analyze e3value are available from our web site www.thevalueengineers.nl. Using these tools, you can design and edit e3value models of value networks. You can quantify them in terms of cash flows, expenses and investments needed to create and run the value network, and you can run simulations to assess profitability. You can use these simulations to asses robustness against market assumptions, estimate net present value of investments, and assess robustness against fraud in the network.

This is book treats the syntax and semantics of e3value and explains the various analyses that can be done with the e3value software tools.
