Business Process Re-engineering (BPR) is a key management issue. This book looks at BPR in the context of developing object-oriented software systems for a company that supports the re-engineering process. The author shows how object technology can be used in the BPR model, how the requirements of a new software system can be captured as a result of business engineering and how business engineering and software engineering can be matched in a seamless way. The work takes a formal approach to the whole re-engineering process - business models are expressed in a formal way but are flexible enough to adapt to different types of organizations as well as to change to new or modified businesses.
