Yannick Pouliot recently burst onto the art scene and immediately earned critical acclaim for the originality of his work. Using various media, notably sculpture, photography and sound, he assigns a leading role to architecture and furniture, with which he creates environments that enfold and isolate visitors. The viewer is thrust into a specific environment with an experience more akin to disembodiment than disorientation. This first monograph documents a new series of works revolving around issues of domesticity in architecture and furnishings.
